Background
The 24-inch pipeline transports crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta to refiners Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. It began operations in 1997 and is owned by Enbridge. The capacity is 280,000 bpd (44,800 m3/d). The pipeline interconnects with the Platte Crude Oil Pipeline system at Casper, Wyoming and the Silvertip Crude Oil Pipeline at Edgar Station, Montana.[1]
