Background

The Hainan Shennan LNG Storage Facility is in Hainan, China.[1] The facility cost an estimated 850 million yuan (US$133.6 million), and can store up to 200,000 cubic metres of LNG. It also has a wharf with a receiving capacity of 10,000-20,000 cubic metres per day (0.5 mtpa) on LNG ships. The storage tanks will be used to receive LNG from CNPC’s two operating terminals, Rudong LNG Terminal and Dalian LNG Terminal, as well as Tangshan LNG Terminal and the proposed Shenzhen LNG Terminal.[2]
