International Federation of Journalists
The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) "is the world's largest organisation of journalists. First established in 1926, it was relaunched in 1946 and again, in its present form, in 1952. Today the Federation represents around 500.000 members in more than 100 countries." [1]
"The General Assembly held in Mogadishu [ Somalia ] from 29 to 31 August was supported by the National Endowment for Democracy and guided by the IFJ." [2]
Mr. Hafez Al-Bukari the Yemen project coordinator for IFJ, is a 2006–2007 Reagan Fascell Democracy Fellow at the NED.
Along with 17 other organizations they helped organize the Global Forum for Media Development which took place in Amman, Jordan October 1-3 2005. [1]
