Anpara-E power station is a proposed 1,320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant to be built by UP Rajya Vidyut Nigam Ltd in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Background

Anpara-E power station is located some distance from the other Anpara power stations: Anpara power station, Anpara-C power station, and Anpara-D power station. Anpara-E received environmental clearance in 2012.

In March 2015 the Chief Minister said construction on Anpara-E would begin soon.

As of April 2015 the project is not listed as under construction by the India government, nor in March 2016.

With no developments since 2012, the project appears to be abandoned.
